What to expect from attending NI2024?

The NI2024 conference in Manchester, UK (1pm July 28 to 1pm July 31, 2024) will connect a broad range of nurses and healthcare providers worldwide. Attending this conference will provide you with opportunities to exchange the latest knowledge, solutions and experiences related to data management, information processing and knowledge management in nursing and informatics. It will also be a place for sharing ideas, networking and finding new opportunities for collaboration.
This four-day event provides a wide range of activities. Keynote speeches and plenaries provide timely insights into current trends and future directions related to nursing informatics. We are excited to have leaders in the field including Pamela Cipriano (President of the International Council of Nurses) as our opening keynote; leaders from the United Kingdom and Ireland discussing leadership in Nursing Informatics, and we will hear from a number of early career Nursing Informatics researchers about their experiences. Our closing keynote speakers are emerging researchers focusing on nursing informatics and climate change, and Artificial intelligence.
The conference also offers a wide variety of sessions including, pre-conference tutorials, panel discussions, debates, workshops, case studies, research presentations, poster presentations, and technology demonstrations. The exciting topics are cutting edge and cover the areas of applied clinical informatics, education, global health, innovation and entrepreneurship, public and population health, research and methods, and user-facing technologies.

All of the presentations enable presenters to showcase their latest work and engage in scholarly and practice discussions with other attendees. You can find out about new research and new best practices identified in the practice arena, and interact with presenters. Attendees can share ideas and take part in hands on sessions to learn new skills, identify core practice tools, and explore research methodologies. Attendance and engagement also facilitate inspiration and prompts for new ideas for practice and for future research.
Attending NI2024 will provide numerous opportunities to encounter and network with professionals and researchers in the field internationally. Attendees can discover new software, databases and other solutions to enhance professional practice and research. Lunch is provided as part of registration and is tailored for food preferences. Breaks are scheduled to provide maximum time for networking and connecting. The conference program also includes social events such as the opening reception, and a social night with a live band.
